The Role

Join us and combine cutting-edge techniques with a customer-centric approach. You’ll assist in the design and development of tailored training programs that deliver tangible value for our clients. Day to day, you will collaborate with the team and work with clients providing specialist training consultancy services including:

  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, subject matter experts and colleagues proactively in the design and development of high-quality blended learning solutions (including Instructor Led Training and digital/eLearning).
  • Analysing training requirements reports to produce SAT-compliant Learning Design solutions, documentation and reports (DSAT/ADDIE models).
  • Developing DSAT Element 2: Design Stages 1 to 3 products.
  • Developing digital learning storyboards for the creation of digital and eLearning assets and courses.
  • Designing learning solutions for both individual and collective environments.
  • Delivering Train the Trainer (T3) courses based on the learning solutions that you have designed.

In your first 3-6 months, success might look like:

  • You have built strong working relationships with clients and Whitetree colleagues.
  • You have successfully delivered at least one Train the Trainer (T3) session and received positive feedback from participants.
  • You have demonstrated a strong understanding of Whitetree’s values and quality expectations, and applied these consistently across your work.
  • You have contributed to at least one bid or proposal with accurate and helpful learning design input.

Skills & experience required

  • An understanding of the SAT/ADDIE methodology from Analysis to Evaluation.
  • A detailed understanding of the application of JSP 822 and DTSMs (Defence Training Support Manuals 1 - 6).
  • Experience in the development of DSAT Design stages 1, 2 & 3 elements (or ADDIE equivalent).
  • Experience in the design of blended learning solutions.
  • Experience in the development of digital learning storyboards.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing complex projects from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Experienced in supporting bid development and identifying resource needs.
  • Experience of working in online spaces and understanding of digital/eLearning capabilities.
  • Experience gained in the Defence, Rail, Health or Energy sectors.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and client relationship management, with a track record of influencing senior decision‑makers and delivering value‑focused solutions.
  • Expertise/Advanced user of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
  • Ideally located within a commutable distance to Bristol.
  • Current right to live and work in the UK.
  • Current SC clearance or willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check.
  • Willingness and ability to work from home and travel for client engagements, including overnight stays away from home around the UK when required.

Desirable qualities and skills

  • Experience in the use of digital/eLearning development software e.g. Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud and associated applications.
  • Experience in developing digital/eLearning objects for integration within learning management systems (LMS’) employing as a minimum both SCORM and xAPI standards.
  • A good working knowledge of LMS’ such as MOODLE.
