We are currently working with a leading Facilities Service provider to recruit an Engineering/M&E Supervisor to work across a public sector portfolio in the East/South East London areas.

The Role: The role provides the technical link that analyses the root cause of the gaps identified by our Asset Assurance team, and working with the operational delivery teams, develops solutions that lead to robust asset management within business and ensures that day to day maintenance activities are aligned with the Asset Assurance aspirations. To support the Leadership Team by providing robust remedial actions within the East London portfolio, providing assistance, direction and technical guidance to the various embedded operational delivery teams. To develop, implement and support the roll out of appropriate tools and reporting to allow contract management to effectively manage contractors providing hard services, and support said Contact Managers in their interactions with service partners. The role is pivotal in introducing the new standards and systems to the embedded operational delivery teams in line with the company's Strategic Development Goals, including introducing Asset Management Systems based on ISO 55001 (management/ reporting/ capture of data/use of asset), training and supporting the operational delivery teams during the implementation of best asset management practice across all PFI accounts.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experienced FM engineer/supervisor or Manager who has operated in a maintenance environment for a number of years.
  • An installation or Projects role.
  • Has experience of costing or running budgets.
  • Managed subcontractors or in-house teams.
  • Ideally educated to at least HNC/HND standard (or equivalent) in a relevant hard services discipline with demonstrable experience in asset management, lifecycle management, customer service and change management activities/fields.
  • Knowledge of change management tools and techniques and best practice asset management.
  • Good IT skills combined with a detailed understanding and appreciation of CMMS/CAFM systems or similar.
  • An appreciation of corporate real estate and property management, desired.
  • Experience of best practice standards including BSRIA Business Focused Maintenance and ISO 55001 etc.
