This is not a traditional Project Manager role. We're partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organisation embarking on a major transformation programme that will redefine how the business operates. Having recently undergone significant investment and leadership change, the business has committed to a long-term digital, data and operational transformation strategy designed to support substantial growth and future acquisitions.
As Project Manager, you'll join at the start of this journey, helping to shape and deliver a transformation programme spanning ERP, data, analytics, AI and business process redesign. Much of this would be viewed as sitting very much at the 'bleeding edge' of innovation. You'll work alongside an experienced transformation leader and play a key role in bringing structure, governance and delivery discipline to a fast-moving environment.
The organisation is replacing legacy ways of working and building a modern digital ecosystem designed around data, automation and user experience. Current initiatives include:
- Enterprise-wide ERP transformation
- Modern data platform implementation
- Advanced reporting and analytics capability
- AI-led process improvement initiatives
- Business process redesign
- Future acquisition integration programmes
- Development of innovative digital products and services
This is a rare opportunity to join a business at the beginning of a multi-year transformation programme and develop into a broader leadership role as the function grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple business and digital transformation initiatives simultaneously
- Develop and maintain programme plans, governance and delivery frameworks
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, delivery partners and external consultancies
- Drive business readiness, adoption and operational transition activities
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change control processes
- Support ERP, data and technology-enabled transformation projects
- Translate complex concepts into clear and actionable plans
- Help bridge the gap between business operations, technology and change
- Act as a trusted deputy to the transformation leadership team when required
About You
We're looking for a strong Project Manager who understands how people, process, technology and data come together to drive business change. You'll likely bring:
- Experience delivering business and digital transformation projects
- SaaS, ERP or enterprise systems implementation experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience establishing governance, controls and reporting mechanisms
- A pragmatic approach to project delivery
- Excellent organisational and planning capabilities
- Confidence working alongside technical specialists and external partners
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to influence at multiple levels
Desirable Experience
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or ERP transformation programmes
- Data and analytics initiatives
- AI or emerging technology projects
- Private equity-backed organisations
- Mergers, acquisitions or business integration projects
- Operational transformation within multi-site organisations
The Person
Success in this role will come from your ability to combine structure with adaptability. You'll be calm under pressure, solutions-focused and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities evolve quickly. You'll enjoy helping people navigate change, bringing clarity to complexity and turning ambitious ideas into practical delivery plans. For someone with the right mindset and ambition, this role offers the opportunity to grow alongside a significant transformation programme and become a key figure in the organisation's future success.
