Commercial Pricing Analyst
Location: Remote (UK-wide remit) Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits Reporting To: Commercial Director
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Pricing Analyst to play a key role in shaping pricing strategies across a diverse portfolio of contracts and services.
This is a highly visible position, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver commercially robust pricing solutions for new business opportunities, competitive tenders, contract renewals, and ongoing commercial reviews.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with commercial acumen, ensuring pricing models balance cost, risk, profitability, customer value, and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance pricing and commercial models to support business growth and profitability.
- Lead pricing activities for bids, tenders, contract renewals and new business opportunities.
- Analyse costs, margins, risks and market factors to produce commercially sound pricing recommendations.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making.
- Present complex financial and commercial information clearly to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
- Maintain robust pricing assumptions, documentation and audit trails.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Property, Legal and Bid teams to ensure pricing solutions are deliverable and aligned with business objectives.
- Support mobilisation activities, commercial reviews and large-scale procurement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and procurement requirements relevant to pricing strategies.
About You
You will be a commercially minded analyst with experience in pricing, costing or financial modelling within a contract-led environment.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience developing and managing pricing, costing, financial or commercial models.
- Experience supporting contract pricing, tenders, bids or commercial proposals.
- Strong understanding of commercial drivers including margin analysis, risk assessment and value-for-money considerations.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business functions.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into practical commercial recommendations.
Desirable Experience
- Experience pricing public sector contracts and responding to formal procurement exercises.
- Understanding of contract management, procurement frameworks and tender evaluation processes.
- Experience in large-scale service, property, facilities, housing, infrastructure, or outsourced contract environments.
