We are currently working with a leading UK Facilities Management service provider to recruit a Senior Engineering Manager for a prestigious commercial office/banking building in the Canary Wharf area. This is based on site full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management for a large-scale Engineering and Fabric Team across the client's Building and London Corporate Satellite Sites.
- Collaborate with the Campus facilities team to support and achieve the objectives set by the General Manager and client team.
- Ensure proper coordination among the Engineering and Fabric teams in fulfilling tasks assigned by managers, enabling work completion within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet contract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) according to established schedules, ensuring statutory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
Candidate requirements:
- Suitably qualified in an Electrical/Mechanical engineering discipline – HNC/ONC/C&G.
- ILM Level 3, 4 or equivalent.
- Experience in a banking environment with multi-site locations.
- 10 years of experience managing large engineering operations.
- >5 Years Critical Engineering management experience.
- Evidence Training and competence in managing High Risk Works (HV and LV Electrical, Pressure Systems, Confined Spaces).
- Experience as an Authorised Person and working within an AP appointment & management process.
- Be conversant with current Health and Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certificate.
- Evidence Training and competence in Safe Systems of Work.
- Have good communication skills verbally, in writing, and by telephone.
- Good Leadership & Management skills.
