M&E P6 Planner – Infrastructure Projects (Midlands & North)
Are you a proactive, forward-thinking experienced M&E Project Planner, with a passion for delivering excellence in project planning?
This is an opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary joint venture delivering Mechanical & Electrical packages on one of the UK’s most high-profile Rail projects, while supporting a wider portfolio of Infrastructure works across the Midlands and North.
The Role
As a Mechanical & Electrical P6 Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery, commercial viability, and resource optimisation of projects. You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing cost- and resource-loaded programmes covering full project scope.
- Creating and maintaining robust, logically linked project schedules in P6.
- Providing regular programme updates, reports, and client-facing reviews.
- Monitoring progress with lookahead plans, site diaries, and regular site visits.
- Conducting forensic planning, delay analysis, and EOT programmes.
- Supporting tenders and commercial submissions with high-quality programme input.
- Driving planning standards, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A stable career history
- M&E Project planning experience in infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Experience developing robust planning documentation and project controls.
- A collaborative, decisive, and forward-thinking mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Background in M&E (mechanical or electrical).
- Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or ICE contracts.
- Engineering qualifications (Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
