Construction Operations Director – Commercial Construction Projects 📍 Hybrid Working – Office based 3-4 days a week Projects across the M4 / M40 Corridor £120,000 – £145,000 + Executive Car + Bonus (up to 40%) + Excellent Benefits Are you currently working for as an Operations Director, Construction Director, Regional Operations Director or Regional Director within a commercial main contractor environment ? Do you need a fresh challenge or a new environment ? Due to continued growth, this established commercial principal contractor is seeking an experienced Operations Director to help lead the next phase of the company’s growth. The business delivers high-specification new build construction projects for a prestigious client base across sectors including Pharmaceutical, R&D, Commercial Office, Private Healthcare and Automotive / Advanced Engineering. Project values typically range from £1m to £35m and are located along the M4 / M40 corridor, including: Oxfordshire • Berkshire • Buckinghamshire • Surrey • Wiltshire • Middlesex • Northamptonshire • Warwickshire Working closely with the Chairman, Managing Director & Commercial Director you will be helping shape operational strategy while ensuring the consistent delivery of projects across the business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the operational performance of the business. Responsibilities include: * Contributing to the strategic direction and continued growth of the company * Leading operational strategy across multiple live construction projects * Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, to budget and to a high standard * Managing and developing senior operational teams * Supporting the commercial performance and profitability of the business * Building and developing business with key clients * Driving operational improvements and best practice across construction & client operations Important: This role requires experience within commercial construction contractors delivering non-residential projects. Candidates whose background is primarily within: Residential housebuilding, Volume housing developers, Developer-led residential schemes will not be considered for this role. To be considered for this position you must have: * Currently working in a Director role for a Commercial Construction Contractor * Senior leadership experience within a Main Contractor / Principal Contractor * A track record delivering commercial construction projects (non-residential) * Experience delivering high-end commercial office or technically complex buildings * P&L responsibility within a construction business * Experience managing multiple project teams and senior operational staff * Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
