This privately owned company, with a turnover circa £7 million and growing, provides an outstanding range of quality spill control products. Their products include absorbents, spill kits, spill control systems, drum storage and liquid containment. Their clients include some well-known brands across the manufacturing, construction, engineering, automotive, defence, food, pharmaceutical and aerospace sectors.

The company has ambitious growth plans, and as part of that growth strategy, they are looking to enhance their sales team with an Area Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be managing a territory across the Midlands, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and possibly into the East Midlands dependent on the candidate's location.

80% Account Development and 20% New Business Development, the Area Sales Manager will be supported by a proactive marketing department and technical sales support team who will be there to provide technical specifications and quotations. The Area Sales Manager will be selling to a range of department heads within a target client including sustainability managers, engineering directors, head of facilities, head of production, head of HSQE and environmental managers. Order values can range from £5k up to £75k.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of selling engineering, industrial or technical products into manufacturing, automotive, engineering and industrial companies. The individual will have some experience of managing a sales territory and will have a track record of growing revenues within existing clients.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic of £45k-£55k, a company car, laptop, company mobile, pension, OTE of an additional £40k and 30 days annual leave including bank holidays.
