*About the job*
Operating within a fast-paced sewing production environment, you will be working with a vast range of materials and designs, producing items of soft furnishings for sofas, chairs, and beds.
You will spend an initial 12-week period within our Sewing Academy where you will be trained on our models and techniques, before entering one of our production sewing rooms.
*Responsibilities* * Prepare an efficient workstation and organise workload to ensure a quick, smooth workflow.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for sewing machines.
- Read, interpret, and work to instructions i. e., specifications, standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a sewing production team or individually, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
*Requirements: Your Skills* * An experienced lockstitch machinist with a clear understanding of how an industrial lockstitch machine operates, able to produce consistently high-quality work, at a good rate of pace and in line with our production needs and demands.
- Experience of overlock and twin needle machinery (desirable).
- Experience of a PBR system (
