Your normal working hours are 39 hours per week, worked within the Employer’s normal operating hours of Monday to Thursday 6am to 5pm and on Friday from 6am to 3pm, as agreed from time to time with your line manager.

About the job
We are looking for a Product Quality Supervisor & Assurance to join our Quality team and play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving product quality across our manufacturing operations.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role, working closely with production teams to ensure our quality standards are understood, embedded, and consistently achieved throughout the upholstery manufacturing process.
You’ll be a visible presence on the shop floor supporting, challenging, and coaching teams to deliver right‑first‑time quality.
If you have a strong background in furniture upholstery manufacturing, a sharp eye for detail, and the confidence to communicate clearly with people at all levels, this could be an excellent next step.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day‑to‑day quality requirements of the site from a holistic perspective.
- Working closely with production teams to communicate current quality performance and expectations.
- Identifying areas for improvement across people, products, and processes, and supporting their resolution.
- Ensuring quality tasks are met in line with process, regulatory, NCR and ISO requirements.
- Supporting site management with quality‑related improvement actions, training needs, and disciplinary processes, seeing them through to conclusion.
- Ensuring quality standards are consistently applied within upholstery operations, including prepping, frame assembly, sewing, and finishing, to minimise product rejects.
- Delivering quality‑focused toolbox talks where required.
- Supporting new product introductions in collaboration with the wider Quality and Development teams.
- Working with customer‑facing teams to inspect replacement orders prior to dispatch, when required.
- Maintaining visible quality messaging and visual management tools on site.
- Preparing and presenting clear feedback and quality updates for stakeholder meetings.
- Supporting good housekeeping standards, particularly during customer visits and audits.
- Upholding health and safety responsibilities for yourself and others.
- Living and promoting the Whitemeadow Vision & Values in everything you do.
- You may also be asked to carry out additional tasks within your capability to support business needs.
Requirements: Your Skills
- Strong ability to identify and address product and process non‑conformance.
- Ability to understand and interpret quality data and performance statistics and apply them practically on site.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to engage individuals and groups to improve performance
- Proven experience within furniture upholstery manufacturing.
- Experience working within a quality or assurance role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO or NCR‑driven quality systems.
