About the CNC Operator Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our growing team in Bideford. You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role suits someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a positive, well-organised environment.
CNC Operator Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines
- Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out quality checks and maintain production documentation
- Support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with Hurco, XYZ, or Siemens controls (highly desirable)
- Completed a full engineering apprenticeship in machining or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
