Behaviour & Inclusion Lead

Whitehouse PRU is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Behaviour & Inclusion Lead to join our committed team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils who face barriers to learning and help them develop the confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing they need to succeed.

The Role

  • Working closely with teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
  • Work with staff to create and maintain an emotionally safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Deliver emotional wellbeing and nurture group sessions that promote resilience, self-esteem, and positive relationships.
  • Provide focused one-to-one support for individual pupils to help them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Plan and deliver small group interventions to support pupils' emotional wellbeing, social skills, and personal development.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them develop strategies to regulate their emotions and behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
  • Monitor pupils' progress and contribute to support plans and reviews.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience of working with children or young people, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Is calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to inclusion and believes every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
  • Can work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
  • Has a proactive approach to promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
