Whitehall Resources require an Azure / AWS Cloud Project Delivery Engineer - SC Cleared to work with a key client on a 6-month initial contract.

  • Candidates are required to hold enhanced active SC clearance.
  • Inside IR35.
  • This role will involve 90% on site work in London.

An experienced Azure and AWS Cloud Project Delivery Engineer responsible for the successful delivery of secure cloud infrastructure, platform, and application hosting solutions within enterprise and regulated environments.

Working across project, engineering, security, and operational teams, the role combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management skills to deliver cloud transformation, migration, and modernisation initiatives.

The engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and transitioning secure cloud services while working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver secure Azure and AWS cloud hosting solutions from design through to operational handover.
  • Work within Agile project teams, participating in sprint planning, delivery, reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Engage effectively with customer stakeholders, project managers, architects, security teams, third-party suppliers, and service delivery teams.
  • Design and implement secure cloud networking architectures, including hub-and-spoke and hybrid connectivity patterns.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Iaa S), Platform-as-a-Service (Paa S), and containerised workloads.
  • Implement cloud identity, authentication, and authorisation solutions while ensuring appropriate separation of management and data plane access for sensitive environments.
  • Support application deployment and operational readiness activities with a strong understanding of underlying infrastructure components.
  • Deliver monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational insights using enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ia C), automation solutions, and CI/CD pipelines to enable repeatable and secure deployments.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the wider delivery organisation.
