Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Bicep SME. This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.
Key Requirements:
- The requirement is for a Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Developer specializing in Bicep to architect and automate Azure environment.
- You will bridge the gap between platform engineering, application teams and architects by building modular, secure, and scalable deployment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect Modular Libraries: Design and maintain complex Bicep modules and private registries to standardize deployments across the organization.
- End to-End Automation: Integrate Bicep templates into robust Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Security & Governance: Implement Azure Policy and Guardrails as Code to ensure compliance and cost management.
- State Management: Transition legacy ARM templates or manual builds into clean, Bicep code.
Key Experience:
- Advanced Bicep: Mastery of loops, conditionals, scopes (management groups/tenants), and deployment scripts.
- Azure Ecosystem: Deep knowledge of networking (VNET, Peering, DNS), Compute (VMs, Load Balancers), and Identity (RBAC, Managed Identities).
- Tooling: Proficiency with Git, Azure CLI, PowerShell.
- Troubleshooting: Expert ability to debug deployment failures and API version mismatches.
- Experience with Azure Verified Modules (AVM).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert.
