SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) Specialist

SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) Specialist required by Whitehall Resources for a 6 Month extendable project assignment for our global customer.

Due to the team allocation for this role our clients preference is candidates that can work remotely from the Middle East / Asia on CET time zone.

Duration: 6 Months extendable
Delivery: 100% Remote (CET Time Zone)
Capacity: 100% / Full time capacity required

Due to current organizational needs, we\’re looking for a candidate who can handle a dual role of:

• Managing SAP Change operations
• And also have SolMan functional expertise to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues

Years of experience: 5-8 Years

SAP Change Operations:

• Adherence to clients Specific ChaRM Process: Strict adherence to the established ChaRM process for the approval of Requests for Change (RFCs) and the creation of Change Documents (CDs), including Normal and Urgent Change Requests.
• Documentation Validation and Release Management: Validation of all required documentation (Functional Specifications/Technical Specifications, User Acceptance Testing results, Code Review) to meet audit requirements.
• Responsibility for the controlled import of relevant Change Requests into the production environment during designated release windows.
• Audit Support: Generation of comprehensive Change Request-related reports and data in collaboration with the clients Change Manager to support audit requirements
• Operational Independence: Ability to independently manage Change Operations during the clients Change Manager\’s absence.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to facilitate coordination with Functional Stream (FS) and Application Management Services (AMS) stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Proactive identification and recommendation of process improvements within the existing Change Management framework.

SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) Functional Expertise:

• SAP IT Service Management (ITSM) Configuration and Support: Independent support and configuration of SAP ITSM, including:
• Status Management
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) Configuration
• Categorization Schema
• Support Team Auto-Assignment
• Integration with ChaRM Workflows

• SAP ChaRM Configuration and Support: Configuration and support of SAP ChaRM, including:
• Status Flow Management
• Transport Request (TR) Management
• Transport Cockpit Management (track, lock, unlock) based on requests or plans
• Change Cycle Management and Quality Gate understanding
• Complex Transport Issue/Error Analysis and Resolution within ChaRM.
• ChaRM & ITSM CRM Screen Front-end Maintenance (field addition/deletion, editability control, etc.)
• STMS and Authorization Model: Comprehensive understanding of SAP Transport Management System (STMS) and the SolMan authorization model.
