Infrastructure Network Engineer

Whitehall resources are looking for an Infrastructure Network Engineer. This role is hybrid working with 2 days on-site in the West-Midlands, and the remainder remote working, for an initial 6-month contract.

Job Description:
You will be responsible for Designing, analyzing, evaluating, configuring, troubleshooting, and implementing network solutions. Senior network engineers will have extensive knowledge of routing, switching, F5 load balancer, Palo alto, Cisco ASA, ISE and Network security services

Your responsibilities:
* Responsible for independently troubleshooting and resolving all product and infrastructure service incidents.
* Managing voice management queues in ServiceNow and ensure SLT are meet.
* Undertake technical tasks such as patching, maintaining scripts, automated code, reviewing logs, assisting build and configuration activity, and maintaining the technical estate.
* Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first.
* Support senior engineer with service and hardware lifecycle and asset management.
* Advance network implementation and migration experience from Checkpoint to Palo Alto.
* Supporting change and implementation where appropriate technical competence has been reached and maintaining an enterprise view

* Core network routing

* Solarwinds
* Thousand Eyes
* Advance knowledge of MS Team voice provision services

Desirable skills and experience:
* ITIL v4
* Advance troubleshooting
* JIRA
* Ansible
* Powershell
