Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a CPQ Business Analyst with 80% Remote working and 20% travel to UK cities for an initial 3 month contract. You will play a key advisory role in defining the process and requirements for a CPQ implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, IT, Finance, and Product Management to gather requirements, analyse data, and deliver scalable CPQ solutions that align with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide expert advisory around CPQ design best practice.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements related to pricing, quoting, and product configuration.
- Analyse current CPQ processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for CPQ system development.
- Support implementation by a 3rd party.
- Work with development teams or vendors to build and deploy CPQ features and enhancements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify where CPQ processes connect with other workstreams and processes.
- Ensure compliance with pricing policies, discounting guidelines, and approval workflows.
- Generate documentation including process flows, training materials, and system architecture diagrams.
Experience / qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with at least 2 years in a CPQ related role.
- Experience with CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Conga, Pros).
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pricing strategies, and product configuration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with subscription billing, usage-based pricing, or SaaS revenue models.
- Knowledge of APIs and integration with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
