Are you an Administrator or Business Assistant with experience gained in a multi-national trading organisation? Looking to work for a global supplier and distributor of Chemicals? We have an exciting role working at the European Head Quarters in Central London. Our client is a Global supplier of functional chemicals to a wide range of industries, with offices around the world it is a dynamic and influential organisation.
The Business Assistant will be a member of a small, dedicated team of professionals within the Chemicals Division. The role requires a broad range of business support and administrative responsibilities to facilitate international trade within the Chemicals, Polymers and affiliated industries.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Clear and effective communication by phone, email and other means with clients, suppliers and internal colleagues to expedite planning, ordering, delivery and accounting requirements of clients and suppliers.
- To work closely with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise and pursue full external stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with external and company regulations such as REACH, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Security Trade Control (STC) and take a high degree of responsibility toward customer credit control.
- Assisting the General Manager for a range of other administrative duties to support internal company reporting requirements as required.
- Accurate and timely record keeping ensuring company data reflects the reality of the Dept trading position, goods movements and credit exposure.
Relationships:
- Staff members and London based accounts, finance, legal and risk management.
- Overseas business Departments including other EMEA offices and Head Office.
- Commercial, logistics, technical and administrative customer and supplier staff members in the UK and overseas.
- Customer officers, hauliers, clearing agents, insurers etc.
Person Specification:
- Knowledge of logistics, import and export procedures.
- Widespread experience of working in a multinational trading environment in an administrative and client-orientated support role.
- Candidates with a post compulsory education level, possibly even an undergraduate degree in Maths, Economics, Business, Finance or related would be advantageous although not essential.
