Our client is a leading manufacturer of adhesives, supplying high-quality adhesives to customers worldwide, assisting customers with their specific bonding and sealing requirements. They are seeking a Chemist or Engineer to provide Technical Support to customers, both in the UK and Europe. This is a site based role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide extensive technical support to UK & European distributor network, via phone, email and in person, visiting distributors, training staff and attending joint customer visits
- Technical service projects and supportive technical data generation, developing and implementing testing programs
- Maintaining and populating central knowledge database for product and application information
- Updating, populating and maintaining the master data file
- Availability for site visits to support sales staff technically
- Manning technical helpline telephone and tech support inbox
- Updating CRM database, forwarding sales leads to relevant salespeople and distributors
- Preparation of presentations and materials
- Hosting webinars and training sessions and hands-on demonstrations
- Handling of product quality complaints
- Attending exhibitions
- Assistance in promotional video filming activities
- Creation and control of technical datasheets
- Writing of technical articles and product PR in collaboration with marketing department
- Technical content creation for blog, brochures, distributor website etc. supporting marketing activities
- Creation of case studies, application profiles and product sales tools
- Identify and attend relevant conferences and exhibitions
- Identify and attend relevant training courses to enhance skills
Candidate Profile:
- Full driving license
- Able to work independently, with weekly supervision
- Ability to travel in UK and Europe
