Our client is a manufacturer and service provider of high-performance sealing and bonding solutions for the construction and manufacturing industry. They are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Assistant to work from their office in the North West. You will need to be qualified to at least A Level in a science subject with industry experience.

Responsibilities:

  • SDS authoring and maintenance, product hazard communication and chemical compliance as part of the Group Regulatory Team
  • Raw materials management; document maintenance (SDS, Specifications), monitoring updates or changes
  • Respond to internal and external SDS requests and queries
  • Undertake administration of Poison Centre notifications
  • Supplier compliance (raw materials and purchased goods) and provision of information to customers/downstream users concerning REACH
  • Assist with substance monitoring and any resulting product issues or business impact
  • Assist with global compliance; SDS, labelling, chemical substance inventories
  • R&D and Production support administrating Bill of Materials, formulations and any other technical/R&D documentation
  • Product information support and administration for compliance with environmental schemes such as; BREEAM, LEED, BASTA, SandaHus etc.
  • Support and contribute to regulatory projects and any other support associated tasks in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Very occasional travel within the UK and Europe may be required

Requirements:

  • Good overview understanding of product safety legalities, COSHH and the legal texts of EU-CLP, UN-GHS and REACH
  • Experience within an industrial manufacturing / chemical-related environment
