Our Client is the leading specialist distributor of cold applied road marking, road repair and reinstatement. They are growing their R&D team and are seeking a Chemist/Engineer who will support their current and ‘in development’ projects. This is a hands-on role where the individual will collaborate across all stakeholders, focused on different surface repair and reinstatement systems and will need to have knowledge of Cementitious, Resins, Fillers, Aggregates.

The role centres around testing, demonstrations, training and technical support — helping contractors and clients achieve the best performance from our products and systems. This role would suit someone who enjoys practical engineering, working with materials and machinery, working in our technical area, and being out on-site. You should be confident interacting directly with suppliers, customers and contractors, capable of solving problems practically and comfortable working independently in fast-paced operational environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating, testing and evaluating our Clients products – Cementitious, Resins, Fillers, Aggregates etc.
  • Supporting live product demonstrations and customer presentations
  • Supporting and overseeing on-site product trials and testing
  • Providing hands-on technical support across the UK, Ireland and Europe
  • Carrying out practical product testing, reporting and evaluation
  • Working closely with manufacturers and suppliers.

Candidate Profile:

  • Appropriate degree/post graduate degree in a subject relevant to industrial paints, chemicals or civil engineering materials.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in Construction Chemicals, Road and Reinstatement products, Resin based construction products.

Benefits Package:

  • Working hours are 7:30am-4:30pm, 22 days holiday, salary dependant on experience.
