Our client is a leading innovator, manufacturer and supplier of industrial coatings. Due to continued success, they are now seeking an Engineer/Scientist to join the Sales team based at the head office in the North East of England. You will be responsible for developing the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power and Mining sectors.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sales responsibility for the UK and abroad for the given market sectors.
- The position will involve calling on specifiers, EPCs, end users and contractors.
- You will create and develop ongoing commercial relationships with contacts such as Chief Engineers, Maintenance Managers, Production Directors, Operation Managers, Health and Safety Officers, Environmental Engineers, etc.
- Site surveys and coating specifications.
- The role will involve international travel.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Material Science preferred
- Technical sales experience.
- Knowledge and experience in industrial coatings.
- Ability to deliver concise presentations with technical and commercial aspects.
- Computer literate on the various MS Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to offer clients solutions, based on their features and benefits, supported by technical proposals in order to build confidence.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
