We are looking for a creative and friendly individual who is passionate about content creation and social media to join our team at Whitehall Garden Centre. As we are growing our social media platforms, we are looking for someone to help us maintain these and take charge of our social media pages. This position will work under the Director of Operations. The ideal candidate must be proactive, able to take direction, generate new ideas, have a good eye for photography, and be passionate about growing our social media and engaging with our followers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing our social media channels – planning, scheduling and posting all content on a daily basis.
- Filming and editing social media content for TikTok and Instagram reels (on phone) for our own and paid social channels.
- Ability to use Premier Pro, After Effects, CapCut or similar programmes to edit video content.
- Understanding and jumping on the latest social media trends quickly.
- Managing tagged UGC, obtaining rights and planning into the posting schedule.
- Work with the Director of Operations on partnerships and giveaway ideas to help grow our social account following.
- Reply to customer queries that come through social media.
Candidate Requirements
- A passion for creating TikTok and Instagram social media content.
- Comfortable working at a fast pace and being reactive to trends.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar editing software.
- Highly self-motivated and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude - ability to get stuck in and hit the ground running.
- Confident in front of camera - doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
- Be proactive and creative in coming up with ideas and suggestions to shoot.
- Understanding and experience in posting/scheduling to social media.
- Experience in social media performance reporting.
- Must have a strong portfolio of examples of content that you have ideated and managed through to production and posting.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media, digital and current communications and content marketing trends.
- A strong communicator with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Be able to use Meta Business Suite.
