Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant at our Lacock Garden Centre. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and on delivering an exceptional and unique retail experience.
As the ideal candidate, you will be well presented, physically fit, professional and friendly with a genuine interest in plants, as well as having a good eye for detail. Our customers are our main priority, so therefore you will be someone who is passionate about customer service, polite and outgoing, and someone who would always put our customers first.
Days of work will be every other weekend and a day off in the week. This is a temporary position until the end of August 2025.
Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant responsibilities:
- Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance
- Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently
- Identifying customers' plant needs through interaction, and taking appropriate action
- Maintaining good, up-to-date knowledge of the layout of the centre
- Excellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping are established and maintained in accordance with company guidelines
- All products are accurately priced and labelled in accordance with Company Policy
- Ensure personal compliance with Whitehall's H&S guidelines
- Packing of goods is carried out in a professional manner, and carry outs are offered where required
- Looking after the plants and managing the stock, including stock replacing and displays
- Maintains a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third parties
