We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef Herb Garden to join the team at our popular Herb Garden restaurant.
The role offers straight shifts with no evening work, providing an excellent work-life balance.
The Role:
As Head Chef of the Herb Garden, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading and inspiring a professional team while ensuring consistently high standards of food, service, hygiene and kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Herb Garden kitchen
- Lead, manage and motivate a professional kitchen team
- Ensure the team delivers consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Plan and organise kitchen rotas, staffing and daily operations effectively
- Support the recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of kitchen team members
- Lead by example, creating a positive, professional and supportive kitchen environment
- Demonstrate excellent people management and kitchen management skills
- Be creative and passionate about food, bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to the kitchen
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked and presented to the highest possible standards
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety at all times
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and food preparation regulations
- Manage stock levels, ordering and kitchen wastage effectively
- Work closely with the wider management team to ensure the Herb Garden continues to deliver an excellent customer experience
Working Pattern
- 4 days during the week
- Alternate weekends
- Straight shifts – no evening work
