Skilled Bench Hand Joiners! We want you…
Whiteghyll designs and produces bespoke display items, window theatre and internal signage primarily for retail display purposes. We are a \’one stop shop\’ for our customers and have a variety of different departments including: digital print, spray shop and CNC. We are now looking for a time served bench hand joiner to work in our joinery department.
Responsibilities:
- To work as part of a small team of joiners, following the direction of the dept supervisor and or production manager. Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team required.
- Experience in wood working machinery, table saws a must, chop saws, planer, spindle moulder, edge bander an advantage
- Ability to interpret drawings
- Ability to work to deadline
- Installation on site required from time to time
- Willingness to work overtime as and when required
- Collaborate with other internal departments
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a joiner or carpenter
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of different types of wood and substrates and their characteristics
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting
- Excellent problem-solving skills
