About the role
Youโll work as part of our Lighting Design team designing projects throughout the UK. Through the Training Programme, you will be exposed to projects ranging from multi-million pound hospitals to Wickes and Curry\โs Retail Stores, covering sectors such as Healthcare, Commercial Offices, Retail, Education, and Industrial. Each project requires sophisticated lighting and controls solutions, along with complex detailed planning. You will use the latest software to visualize, calculate, and coordinate lighting layout plans on extensive floorplans.
Programme Structure and Qualifications
This programme is divided into three components, each with multiple modules. To pass, all modules within all components must be completed successfully. Each module includes a learning phase, a task, and an assessment.
The programme is designed to deliver content in an engaging and effective manner, with different delivery methods across the three components.
No prior experience in lighting design is required to apply, as the training will equip you with all necessary skills to become a lighting design engineer. Candidates should have at least 5 GCSEs at Grades 5-9 (or equivalent), including Maths and English. We seek candidates who are hardworking, committed to completing the programme, and eager to become qualified lighting design engineers. Good communication skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and high attention to detail are essential.
