Who You Are
You are a creative, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing high-quality imagery and has a passion for fashion, photography and visual storytelling. You’ll be excited by the opportunity to join White Stuff’s in-house photography studio and contribute to the creation of best-in-class digital content. The Role
As a Junior Retoucher within White Stuff’s Creative Team and in-house Photography Studio, you will report to the Mid-weight Retoucher and support the delivery of high-quality imagery across all digital channels. Working closely with the Photography, Creative and Ecommerce teams, you will be responsible for retouching and preparing imagery for online use, ensuring products are accurately colour matched and presented consistently across all customer touchpoints. Alongside ecommerce imagery, you will have opportunities to support the retouching of wider creative assets, including campaign, social media, print, press and marketing content. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of retouching fundamentals who is looking to further develop their technical expertise within a fast-paced fashion retail environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Retouching high-volume ecommerce imagery, including model and still-life photography, in line with brand guidelines.
- Ensuring accurate colour correction and consistency across all imagery.
- Supporting the retouching of creative assets for marketing, campaign, social and print projects as required.
- Working closely with photographers and the wider studio team to resolve image queries and maintain quality standards.
- Collaborating with the Mid-weight Retoucher and Post Production Manager to manage amendments and prioritise workload effectively.
- Delivering imagery to agreed deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Following and contributing to established studio workflows and best practices.
- Continuously reviewing output and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Supporting the management and delivery of digital assets through established studio workflows, including Capture One, Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and emerging AI-assisted retouching tools.
What You’ll Need
- A portfolio demonstrating strong retouching skills across ecommerce and/or creative imagery.
- Previous experience within a professional photography studio, creative agency or ecommerce environment is desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of colour correction, colour management and image optimisation.
- Experience working on Mac operating systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with stakeholders across different teams.
- An interest in photography, fashion and digital content creation.
- Experience with video editing is advantageous but not essential.
- A willingness to embrace new technologies and evolving workflows within digital image production.
