Who you are: You are an experienced content planner and manager across email and website channels. You will be experienced in writing and managing content briefs with a highly organized and structured approach and superb attention to detail. Primary objective of the job: We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientated Digital Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting team and help deliver our brand campaigns through our owned digital channels – primarily email and website. The role will focus primarily on coordinating and briefing email campaigns, working closely with the CRM & Insights team to execute the email marketing strategy. You will support the Assistant Digital Marketing Manager and wider marketing team in executing the seasonal campaign and product marketing strategy as well as brand fame and marketing initiatives. You will play a key role in coordinating briefs and activity with our Ecommerce and THG international partner teams to drive customer engagement and sales.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working across teams to manage the email briefing and creative process, leading the weekly BAU email briefing and supporting on seasonal campaign emails, ensuring timely execution and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Support the Assistant Digital Marketing Manager and CRM manager with planning the email calendar and strategy, balancing commercial trade priorities and promotions with a strong brand and creative outlook to align with seasonal brand campaign storytelling and product marketing strategy.
- Work closely with design and content teams to ensure cohesive and engaging email creative and messaging, collating inspiration and competitor activity to keep developing and drive best in class email campaigns.
- Support CRM initiatives by assisting with automated and lifecycle email journeys.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator and PR team to develop and align content plans for online and email channels and plan influencer assets across digital touchpoints.
- Support the Assistant Digital Marketing Manager and Ecommerce teams to plan and execute brand campaigns, tactical promotions, seasonal collections and product launches across digital channels.
- Coordinate with the Traffic Manager to ensure briefs are delivered on time and assets are signed off through the creative review process.
- Coordinate with our international e-commerce partner, reviewing weekly briefs and coordinating assets to ensure alignment with our UK channels, trading calendar and creative look & feel.
- Work alongside the CRM manager and the Insights team to monitor and report on email performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement as well as post campaign analysis packs for peak trading periods and seasonal campaigns.
- Support the CRM and wider Brand Marketing team on our customer loyalty programme, including the briefing of loyalty specific emails and the monthly loyalty content brief.
- Work closely with the Retail marketing team to promote shop openings, customer events and local store activity across our email and digital channels.
- Support various brand and digital marketing tasks across the wider team, including post campaign analysis, asset management, competitor analysis and administrative duties.
What you’ll need:
- 1+ year’s experience in digital marketing, email marketing or a similar brand and creative marketing role within a fashion, lifestyle, retail or related brand.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in email planning and briefing.
- Experience in brand and creative marketing across digital channels.
- Experience briefing content for ecommerce channels, including homepages, landing pages and various content and editorial pages on websites.
- Analytical skills and knowledge of key email and digital KPI’s, proactively using performance insights to inform future creative briefs and present findings to key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using Asana or other workflow management tools.
- Experience in briefing assets across other digital and social media channels is a bonus.
- A good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ways of working: Highly organized with excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once in a fast-paced retail environment. Exceptional attention to detail, taking ownership when proofing email tests and any content pre go live. Proactive and able to take ownership, with the confidence to work independently as you grow in the role. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Confidence in liaising with stakeholders across the business (up to director level) and external suppliers and building relationships across teams and external partners. A curious and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights and a passion for testing, learning and continuous improvement.
