We’re supporting a leading design studio on the appointment of a Senior Technical Architect to join their team on complex aviation and large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on airport back of house environments. This is a senior, hands-on technical role with leadership responsibility, ideal for someone who thrives on coordination, detail and delivering high-quality technical packages across fast-paced projects.
The Role:
- Lead technical design and coordination across RIBA Stages 2-4
- Act as technical lead for key airport BOH work packages
- Oversee production of detailed drawings, BIM models, specifications and schedules
- Coordinate closely with MEP, structural, fire/life safety, ICT, security & specialist consultants
- Drive BIM based collaboration, working closely with BIM coordinators
- Support resource planning, programme management and technical quality
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to studio leadership
What We’re Looking For:
- 10 - 15+ years’ experience delivering complex aviation or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong BOH technical design experience
- Deep understanding of building systems, multidisciplinary coordination & aviation compliance
- Advanced Revit / BIM capability
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
