This architectural and interiors practice offering a bespoke design and project management service to high-net-worth clients is seeking an experienced site-based Senior Site Manager to join our client-led design and construction management teams in the delivery of a substantial high-end residential refurbishment project in London for approximately 32 months, on a LTD or PAYE hourly rate contract.
The successful site-based Senior Site Manager will be a proactive, organised and solutions-focused individual with the ability to maintain exceptionally high standards throughout the construction process. They will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day site operations, labour and subcontractor activities whilst working alongside the wider commercial, technical, procurement and project management functions established within the overall Construction Management structure.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordination and management of multiple trade packages
- Direct subcontractor interfaces
- Quality control
- Health & safety
- Logistics
- Sequencing
- Maintaining the programme
- Other daily construction operations within a complex, restrained high-end listed/heritage residential environment
White Space is seeking an experienced site-based Senior Site Manager ideally with proven experience of delivering high-end residential refurbishment construction projects in other construction management environments; have a strong understanding of package management, delivery and trade coordination with a high attention to detail and quality control; experience of managing logistics and complex sequencing within constrained sites; have good understanding of health & safety and construction compliance requirements; and ideally some listed or heritage building exposure would be a nice to have.
Site-based Senior Site Managers applying must be proactive and comfortable working without the safety net of a traditional main contractor structure, be willing to work on site (Regents Park area) 5 days per week, 8am-5pm (1hr lunch, 40 hours), and either immediately available, or can start in less than 4 weeks.
