Project Director/Principal Architect role – north west based

This respected global multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Principal Architect to join their dynamic architectural team within their growing north west office. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead innovative design projects in the extremely busy Life Sciences sector, working on both new builds and improvements to existing facilities.

The Role

As the Principal Architect for the north west office, you will lead conceptual design teams from the front delivering sustainable, cost-effective solutions while engaging directly with clients and managing technical design aspects. This role offers the successful individual a career defining opportunity with a clear succession plan for the future.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design teams delivering sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
• Engage directly with clients and manage technical design aspects.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to drive project delivery.
• Balance operational tasks with strategic design leadership.
• Grow and manage a talented architectural team.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Architect (ARB/RIBA or equivalent).

Required Skills

• Strong management, leadership and coordination skills.
• Proven track record/experience working on complex, high-tech industrial-led projects.
• Proven all-rounder
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp/Rhino, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ethical, self-motivated, and committed to quality and safety.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
• Team Management.
