I’m currently working with a large, globally recognised design studio to appoint a People Manager for their London office. This is a key hire for the business, someone who can operate as a true partner to leadership while owning and delivering impactful People initiatives across the full employee lifecycle. Based in a vibrant London studio of 140+ staff, you’ll work closely with international teams across Copenhagen, Barcelona, and New York, while also supporting smaller offices in Riyadh and the UAE.
The role: You’ll report directly to the Managing Director, line manage a People Assistant, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership balancing both strategic input and hands-on delivery. Key focus areas include:
- Leading People strategy aligned to business goals
- Managing the full employee lifecycle
- Handling employee relations in line with best practice and ACAS guidelines
- Overseeing compliance across UK employment & immigration law
- Driving L&D initiatives and employee engagement
- Managing People data, metrics, and budgets
- Supporting global People initiatives across multiple regions
About you: Proven experience in a People/HR generalist role (ideally in a creative environment) Strong knowledge of UK employment law (UAE/KSA exposure a bonus) Data driven with the ability to influence stakeholders Highly organised, approachable, and confident communicator.
