Are you an experienced Senior Masterplanner and Urban Designer with an innovative portfolio? Do you want to make a significant contribution to the growth of a design-driven studio working on a diverse range of UK and international projects? This studio is seeking a creative, collaborative Senior Masterplanner & Urban Designer with 8-10 years’ post-qualification experience to join a dynamic Masterplanning and Urban Design team.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping a wide range of masterplanning, urban design, placemaking and public realm projects across multiple regions. Your strong design background, strategic thinking, and people-management skills will help guide project teams and mentor junior colleagues.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or Landscape Architecture, plus an MA in Urban Design (or equivalent).
  • Proven leadership experience delivering a range of projects including: Urban development and regeneration, Residential-led, mixed-use masterplanning, Public realm design, Place-led infrastructure and transport solutions.
  • International project exposure, ideally across the UK, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
  • A deep interest in creating sustainable, vibrant urban environments.
  • A design-led mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
  • A results-driven approach, capable of coordinating and leading projects with limited supervision.
  • Confident communicator with strong skills in client and consultant liaison.
  • Advanced software proficiency in at least four of the following: Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, GIS software, CityEngine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships across the business and take on leadership responsibilities by mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • Contribute meaningfully to client presentations, workshops and project meetings.
  • Develop a working understanding of project cost control, fee estimation and financial management, ensuring commercial success without compromising client relationships.
