Our client is a renowned architecture firm with offices based around the UK. They are now looking for a Bid Manager to join their London office based in Tower Hamlets. The role will involve working within the design team and with the new business partner to help win new projects. The ideal candidate will be someone who is organised, flexible, and takes initiative. You should have experience with procurement and B2B activities in the UK, alongside having managed the start-to-finish of the bid process.

The Role

  • Manage the whole bid process from start to finish.
  • Lead and organise meetings with design teams about bids.
  • Work with different teams and partners to make sure everyone is on the same page.
  • Find and share new bid opportunities and explain what’s needed.
  • Help create strong plans to win each bid.
  • Use online systems to send in all required documents.
  • Check that everything is done on time and follows the rules.
  • Make sure bids are correct and good for business.
  • Arrange client presentations and interviews during the bid process.
  • Get feedback after bids and help improve next time.
  • Keep all important bid documents organised.
  • Share knowledge and help the team learn the best ways to work.

The Candidate

  • Have a relevant degree or training certificate.
  • Lots of experience working on bids, especially in medium or large architecture studios.
  • Know how to plan bid strategies, including pricing and using resources well.
  • Good at managing bids and writing bid content.
  • Experienced in handling the full bid process from start to finish.
  • Can lead and organise bid campaigns.
  • Good at leading and managing people, helping and supporting them.
  • Listens well and communicates clearly and positively.
  • Builds strong relationships with team members and partners.
  • Keeps communication clear and makes sure needed resources are available.
  • Makes good decisions based on facts.
  • Pays attention to details and keeps work of high quality.
  • Comfortable presenting work and training others.
  • Can handle many tasks calmly and professionally.
  • Good at leading meetings and negotiating.
  • Builds trust, gives clear instructions, and helps the team work well.
  • Skilled with software like Adobe InDesign, Affinity, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
