Associate Workplace Interior Designer required for lively studio in South West London.
A highly respected workplace design practice are hiring for a Associate Interior Designer to join their growing large team.
With their Head Office in South West London. They have an incredibly welcoming team offering a huge support network to further your skills and career! They are looking for someone who is key to presenting highly creative ideas to top level clients. Your skills must include pitch experience as well as managing a small team as part of the bigger practice.
You\’ll come from a role where you\’ll have exceptional Bid and Project winning experience. You\’ll be putting together pitches and proposals and working with clients from all sectors of industry.
You\’ll have excellent experience in ideally commercial work place or D&B. It\’s a busy office so no day will be the same and you\’ll be expected to be there a full 5 days. You must have experience in large scale budgets and looking after junior team members.
This role will see you responsible for the following:-
- Manage and deliver the design process from conception to completion in a highly organised way with an efficient attention to detail
- Manage people and resources effectively and efficiently, working with the team to deliver to tight deadlines on time and on budget, you will have a small team of designers working with you.
- Ensure that the Design ethos and vision of the business is communicated and demonstrated throughout the project
- Produce AutoCAD drawings at all stages of a project and demonstrate in-depth technical competency for project demands
- Build productive client relationships and demonstrate clear understanding of client and organisation
- Lead the production of information including reports and detail technical packages
- Understanding of industry processes and protocols.
- Prepare budgets and quality standards of each project
- Develop detailed knowledge of the interiors, sector trends and suppliers
- Involved on industry events and product launches
- Activities related to job running including development of project design programmes, resourcing, change control amongst others
- Review the work provided by Junior and Mid Interior Designers
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/attributes :-
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Significant Workplace sector experience is essential , ideally from D&B background.
- High level of AutoCAD or Revit skills
- Highly computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications
- Skilled presenter both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working directly with the client, contractor and design team
- Experience delivering project from inception to construction
- Experience coordinating with M&E and other consultants work
