White Rose Education is seeking a reliable and organised Stock Controller to support the day-to-day management of stock, warehouse operations and order fulfilment. The role will involve maintaining accurate stock levels through regular stock checks, supporting the picking and packing of customer orders, carrying out quality control checks, and assisting with general operational administration. This is a varied role that combines hands-on warehouse work with stock management and administrative support, helping ensure our resources and materials are prepared and delivered accurately to schools and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Control
- Maintain accurate stock levels across all products and materials
- Carry out daily and weekly stock counts and investigate discrepancies
- Update stock records within internal systems or spreadsheets
- Monitor stock levels and notify the relevant team when stock needs replenishing
- Support stock reconciliation and reporting
- Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks on stock and materials before dispatch
- Ensure products meet internal quality standards and are free from damage or defects
- Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
- Report and escalate any quality issues or damaged stock
- Help maintain organised and clearly labelled stock storage areas
- Key Holder
- Serve as a designated key holder responsible for opening and/or closing the premises in line with company procedures
- Ensure the security of the building, including locking/unlocking doors, setting alarms, and conducting safety checks
- Act as a responsible point of contact during opening/closing shifts, addressing any issues that arise
- Support management by ensuring the premises are prepared for daily operations or secured at end of day
