The purpose of the role:
The Marketing and Campaigns Manager will lead the planning and delivery of our marketing and comms activity, ensuring it reflects our values, supports schools and strengthens our relationships across the sector. This is a hands‑on role combining strategic oversight with day‑to‑day delivery. It requires someone highly organised, confident managing multiple projects, and able to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders — from teachers and MAT leaders to partners and agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the marketing campaign plan: Develop, manage and deliver the annual marketing campaign plan aligned to organisational priorities. Coordinate campaign activity across digital, email, social, PR and events. Monitor performance and provide clear reporting on impact, engagement and outcomes. Ensure messaging remains consistent, teacher‑focused and research‑informed. Manage marketing requests from the wider business and balance these with other responsibilities and priorities.
- Management of key events: Lead the planning and delivery of key White Rose Education events (including conferences, exhibitions and sector events). Coordinate logistics, messaging, materials and on‑the‑day delivery. Work closely with internal teams to ensure events support school engagement and organisational priorities. Evaluate event impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Management of PR, external and internal communications: Develop and oversee PR activity to raise awareness of White Rose Education's work. Build and maintain relationships with sector media and partners. Draft and oversee press releases, statements and leadership communications. Lead internal communications to ensure colleagues are informed, aligned and engaged. Protect and strengthen the White Rose Education brand and voice.
- Support with website content: Oversee website content planning and updates. Work with development and product teams to ensure content is clear, accurate and useful for teachers. Ensure website messaging aligns with campaigns and wider communications activity. Use analytics to inform continuous improvement.
- First line management of agency relationships: Act as the main point of contact for marketing and PR agencies. Develop clear briefs and manage delivery against agreed objectives and timelines. Monitor budgets and ensure value for money. Review and evaluate agency performance.
