The predicted salary is between 40000 - 55000 £ per year.

12-month fixed term contract (October 2026 to End of October 2027 with a potential view to extension based on business need). £40,000 to £55,000 (full time equivalent) dependent on experience. This is a hybrid role which includes working at the White Rose Education offices in Halifax & Leeds. Two days a week in the office (minimum), with flexibility for more if needed. It is a full time position, working all-year-round.

Role Purpose

To produce high quality materials that support the White Rose Maths curriculum, support the teaching of maths in primary provision through high quality, effective CPD and working with primary school leaders, work with individual teachers and school leaders to audit requirements, provision and plan for improvements, advise on implementation, and support any other reasonable requests.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to the development of the White Rose Maths curriculum and supporting resources.
  • Design, develop and deliver inspiring and innovative CPD programmes.
  • Assist in the implementation of the curriculum by providing specialist guidance and support.
  • Model outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Deliver school improvement programmes such as coaching, mentoring, target setting, observations, learning walks, maths audits.
  • Actively monitor and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of education policy, developments, research and initiatives.
  • Participate in performance management review(s).

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold QTS and have passed the Early Career Teacher (ECT) assessment.
  • Educated to degree level and have an excellent track record of recent, relevant professional development.
  • Evidence of effective teaching and performance within the primary maths specialism.
  • Accountability for the performance of a cohort of young people.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience of further study and subject leadership in a teaching environment.
  • Experience of creating educational resources, using different packages (e.g., spreadsheet and presentation software).
  • Experience of educational research.

Knowledge & Understanding (Essential)

  • Principles and characteristics of outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Principles and practices of planning and delivery.
  • Effective review and evaluation procedures.
  • Innovative approaches to working with students, staff, partners and the local education community.
  • Application of ICT, literacy and numeracy to outstanding teaching.
  • Subject knowledge to a high level within the primary phase and of the National Curriculum and other relevant government publications.
