An exciting opportunity has arisen working in our specialist maths team. We are looking for a creative, self‑motivated, dynamic, passionate and driven individual who literally wants to help us take on the world. As a Primary Maths Specialist the core purpose of your role will be to produce high‑quality materials, support primary teaching through CPD, work with teachers and leaders, and drive curriculum implementation.
Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality materials that support the White Rose Maths curriculum.
- Support the teaching of maths in primary provision through effective CPD and partnership with primary school leaders.
- Work with individual teachers to improve their performance.
- Work with school leaders to audit requirements, provision and plan for improvements.
- Support and advise primary schools with effective implementation of the White Rose Maths curriculum.
- Provide coaching and mentoring support, target setting, conduct observations and learning walks, undertake maths audits.
- Assist in the implementation of the White Rose Maths curriculum by providing specialist guidance and support.
- Role model and demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning.
- Deliver school improvement programmes and support school improvement initiatives.
- Actively monitor and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant education policy, developments, research and initiatives.
- Participate in performance management reviews.
- Deliver training programmes, CPD and support development of others.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing to a range of audiences.

- Reports to: Head of Primary Maths
- Key relationships: Head of Primary Maths, primary schools, teachers, school leaders, partner agencies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Hold QTS and have passed ECT.
- Degree level education and an excellent track record of recent, relevant professional development.
- Accountability for the performance of a cohort of young people.
- Evidence of effective teaching and performance within area of specialism (Primary Maths).

- Experience of subject leadership in a teaching environment.

- Further study and educational research experience.
- Experience creating different resources and using various software packages.

Other Duties
All staff must have an awareness and commitment to safeguarding and promote the welfare of students. Staff are expected to abide by company policies and procedures, which can be requested from the HR Manager. This profile may be reviewed annually and updated in consultation with staff. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day which would take place in week commencing 13th or 20th July.
