As Curriculum Leader of Geography, you will champion a subject that empowers students to understand, question, and influence the world around them. You will ignite a passion for Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, designing and delivering a curriculum that is rich, challenging, and intellectually stretching. You will lead with purpose and ambition, ensuring the very highest standards in teaching, learning, assessment, and student progress. You will model inspirational classroom practice, develop colleagues with care and clarity, and ensure that Geography remains a vibrant, high performing subject area within our academy.

Responsibilities- Lead the Geography curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring it is rich, challenging, and aligned with assessment requirements.
- Design, develop, and evaluate a high-quality curriculum and ensure standards in teaching, learning, and assessment are consistently high.
- Lead with purpose and ambition to maximise student progress and outcomes in Geography.
- Model inspirational classroom practice and support colleagues to develop their practice with care and clarity.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure Geography remains a vibrant, high-performing subject area within the academy and the Trust.
- Provide leadership and accountability for the subject area, including monitoring and improving student outcomes and progress.
- Contribute to the professional development of staff through coaching and targeted training opportunities.
- Deep subject expertise in Geography with a collaborative mindset and a relentless drive for excellence.
- Experience of leading curriculum development or leading a subject within a secondary education setting preferred.
- Commitment to safeguarding, high professional standards, and promoting inclusive practice.
