Transport Dispatcher - London Heathrow
The Transport Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating transport operations to ensure flights are serviced safely, efficiently, and on time. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, the role manages both airside and unit-based transport teams, optimises fleet and labour resources, and supports the achievement of operational targets through effective planning, communication, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transport operations to ensure flights are dispatched and catered on schedule.
- Optimise manpower, vehicle allocation, and fleet utilisation to maximise operational efficiency.
- Respond proactively to flight schedule changes, customer requests, and operational disruptions.
- Provide operational updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve transport issues quickly while maintaining cost-effective operations.
- Complete all required operational documentation, including compliance checks, fleet inspections, temperature records, and audit documentation.
- Allocate workloads effectively across transport teams.
- Monitor and maintain agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental regulations.
- Lead and supervise transport teams across operational areas.
- Set clear objectives and measurable KPIs.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
- Delegate work effectively to maximise productivity.
- Promote teamwork, motivation, and a positive working environment.
- Identify and resolve operational and personnel issues promptly.
- Communicate operational performance, KPIs, and service issues to team members.

- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and Security regulations is desirable.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
