Overview
In this role you will support the Road Freight team within a specialist logistics business. You will manage day-to-day road shipments, handle import and export customs clearance, and ensure accurate documentation and timely delivery. The role offers training and a path to broaden knowledge across freight forwarding while developing in a supportive environment. You will work closely with customers, hauliers and suppliers to resolve issues and optimise processes. This is a growth-focused opportunity in Eastleigh with long-term career potential.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day road freight shipments
- Handle import and export customs clearance
- Prepare and check customs and shipping documentation
- Liaise with customers, hauliers, suppliers and stakeholders
- Coordinate shipments from booking through to delivery
- Address customs queries and resolve operational issues
- Ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently
- Support the wider freight forwarding operation
- Develop knowledge of road freight and other modes over time
Key requirements
- Previous experience within freight forwarding
- Solid experience with customs clearance
- Knowledge of import and export customs processes
- Road freight experience is advantageous but not essential
