Our client, a well-established freight forwarding business based in Solihull, is seeking an experienced Ocean & Air Import Freight Forwarder to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record in handling import jobs from start to finish, including customs entries, to work for a company offering excellent benefits and hybrid working.
Location: Solihull (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm (37.5 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Manage all ocean and air import procedures from start to finish
- Complete customs entries – extensive experience essential
- Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to generate leads and grow the client base
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in start-to-finish ocean and air import freight forwarding
- Strong IT skills – CargoWise1 certification highly advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of import procedures and compliance
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy
- Professional, conscientious, punctual, and able to follow direction from senior management
You will be: Analytical, technically focused, comfortable working within established systems, decisive within your area of expertise, and able to problem-solve effectively.
