Salary: GBP46000 - GBP65000 per annum
A specialist contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Smoke Ventilation Design Engineer. The role focuses on the design, estimation and technical development of mechanical and natural smoke ventilation systems across residential and mixed-use developments.
Working closely with fire engineers, consultants and project teams, you will be responsible for developing compliant smoke control solutions, preparing project costings and supporting projects through design, Gateway 2 compliance and delivery.

Requirements
- Proven experience designing smoke ventilation or smoke control systems
- Experience with smoke shafts, corridor ventilation and stair pressurisation systems
- Ability to interpret fire strategies, CFD modelling outputs and architectural drawings
- Experience preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions
- Strong understanding of relevant smoke control standards and regulations
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software
- Strong technical communication and coordination skills
Desirable
- Experience supporting Gateway 2 submissions
- Knowledge of smoke ventilation control systems and fire alarm integration
- Experience working on residential or high-rise developments
- Experience using Simpro or similar estimating software
Package
- £55,000 – £65,000
