We are recruiting for an Air & Ocean Import Coordinator to join a well-established freight forwarding and logistics business based in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding professional with knowledge of both air and ocean imports. You will be responsible for managing import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate air and ocean import shipments from booking through to delivery
  • Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, airlines, shipping lines, and customers
  • Arrange customs clearance and ensure compliance with import regulations
  • Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates to customers
  • Process import documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Manage supplier invoices, costs, and job profitability
  • Resolve shipment issues and ensure timely delivery of cargo
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams

Requirements

  • Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or international transport
  • Strong knowledge of air and ocean import operations
