Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00am – 17:30pm

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone working in the freight forwarding industry who is looking for a more progressive opportunity working with a leading freight group. Our client was first established over 35 years ago from a small independent business into one of the UK’s leading freight groups.

We are now seeking an experienced road freight & customs operator to join our leading freight forwarding and global logistics company based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic and growing team.

We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess experience in customs clearances for EU Road freight imports and exports.

Additionally, we are keen to speak with candidates who manage to full end-to-end EU Road freight operational process including customs via CDS.

• Liaising with customers/hauliers to arrange transport/bookings
• Key account assistance – taking on house accounts to develop and retain
• Road pricing – this includes LTL, FTL, EU Cross Trades, OOG shipments
• Preparing customs entries on imports and exports ensuring a high level of accuracy and full compliance
• Processing supporting documents such as T1’s, COO, EUR1 on ICERT

Requirements:

• Sound understanding of CNS / Destin8
• Experience of CDS essential to this role
• Good trade tariff knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work well whilst under time constraints with a ‘right-first-time’ approach
