We’re working with a fast-paced, growing logistics operation near Heathrow that specialises in same-day, time-critical and urgent transport solutions. This is not a standard “planner” role. We’re looking for someone who has run a live transport desk, thrives under pressure, and can make fast, accurate decisions in a real-time operations environment.
The Role
- Running a live same-day / time-critical transport desk
- Managing urgent and dedicated vehicle movements in real time
- Handling escalations, failures, and high-pressure situations
- Supporting and leading operators/planners on shift
- Making quick, commercially sound decisions under pressure
- Working closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
- Same-day courier / express logistics
- Time-critical / AOG / urgent freight
- Road freight operations with live dispatch environments
- 5+ years in same-day courier or time-critical logistics
- Proven experience running a live transport desk
- Strong understanding of UK road freight, routing, and vehicle types
- Experience in urgent / air freight / AOG movements (highly desirable)
Working Hours
Typically early start (6am–7am) - (Mon - Fri) Flexibility required to cover occasional later shifts (9am / 10–11am starts)
