Exciting Opportunity for an Import Operator – Southampton

Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30 – 17:00pm

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Import Operator to join a thriving freight forward company in Southampton. This role offers an exciting chance to work with high-profile customers and manage the full end-to-end import process, from origin to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage ocean and air imports, ensuring smooth transportation from origin to destination.
- Handle all aspects of import customs clearance, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Work closely with key account customers to ensure their requirements are met with precision.
- Utilize your expertise with Cargowise to manage shipments efficiently and accurately.
- Experience with ASM Sequoia is a plus, helping to streamline operations even further.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in managing import operations working with a UK freight forwarding company, including customs entries.
- Strong knowledge of the logistics and shipping industry, particularly in ocean and air imports.
- Cargowise expertise is a must-have.
- Familiarity with ASM Sequoia will give you an edge!
- A high level of attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
