We are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a tier-one packaging manufacturer within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role focused on keeping machinery running efficiently, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The successful candidate will carry out fault finding, reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and general site engineering work across electrical and mechanical systems. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to improve reliability, maintain safety standards and support TPM/OEE initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance across site machinery
  • Planned preventative maintenance and TPM activities
  • Supporting improvements to machine efficiency and downtime reduction
  • General site maintenance and safety checks
  • Working to health & safety, quality and hygiene standards
Requirements
  • Strong electrical engineering background
  • Recognised engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds, ONC or NVQ
  • Manufacturing or production environment experience
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Electrical installation experience, 17th/18th Edition beneficial
  • Blow moulding or injection moulding experience would be advantageous
